Serve With Us
Service begins with humility and responsibility.
The Way will invite service only where the task, supervision, safeguarding, privacy, competence, and accountability are clear.
The service standard
Ask what is needed. Honor agency. Remain accountable.
A servant does not turn another person’s hardship into a platform for recognition. Responsible service asks before acting, respects limits, protects private information, and follows through on what was agreed.
Before service opens
Safeguards come before recruitment.
Volunteer roles involving minors or vulnerable people will not open until screening, supervision, reporting, insurance, training, privacy, and role boundaries are documented and operational.
- Defined role and supervisor.
- Background screening appropriate to responsibility.
- Child-protection and boundary training.
- Incident reporting and escalation.
- Data access limited to what the role requires.
Current posture
Interest may be expressed; placement is not promised.
Potential garden service may include site preparation, planting, education, maintenance, harvesting, hospitality, or logistics only after a host site, scope, supervision, safety plan, and role requirements are approved. Until roles are formally opened, the ministry may listen to areas of interest without assigning access, title, or authority.
